Henry House is a Halifax House style stone townhouse built in 1834–1835 as the residence of Halifax stonemason and landowner John Metlez. It later became the home of William Alexander Henry, Father of Confederation, Attorney General of Nova Scotia, Mayor of Halifax and Judge of the Supreme Court of Canada. It is one of the city’s finest preserved 19th-century homes. 

Since 1968, the building has been home to the Henry House Restaurant, and in 1969 it was designated a National Historic Site of Canada.
